Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
Leads his ambulance crew in responding to all calls for emergency medical services.
Organize the initial response of paramedical services at the scene of major disasters.
Assists the paramedic offer in the training of junior paramedic staff and fire services personnel in first aid and emergency medical care.
Maintains Inventory of medical suppliers to ensure operational readliness of all ambulances during his work shift.
Develops and Implement policies and procedures to inspect personnel, vehicles and equipment to maintain operational readliness
Full responsibility on all emergency medical treatment proveded during his work shift.
Shall be an active member with defined responsibilit during major disaster or simulation exercises as designated by the paramedic officer.
Must be familiar/working knowledge with the requirements of NFPA 473, NFPA 1581, and 1582.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Twelve (12) years formal education. University degree in Health Science preferred.
Specialized Qualifications:
Shall have completed formal course of "Basic Life Support" and certified E.M.T
Successfully completed a course of "Advanced Life Support" and certified as a paramedic.
Alternative qualification is Registered Nurse (RN) Western educated and trained. Valid License from Saudi Commission Health Specialities.
Experience: Thirteen (13) year's experience in parademic services including five (5) years in a supervisory position. At least two (2) of the last five (5) years shall have been in an equivalent position at a major airport or in a recognized ambulance service. Possession of a university degree in Health Science will reduce the experince requirement by eight (8) years.
Languages: Ability to read, write and speak in English.
Others: Valid vehicle operator license.
