The Right Canadian Immigration program for you will depend on your case, your goals, and your intent on coming to Canada whether it be to study in Canada, work in Canada, or live in Canada. There are over 60 different programs to immigrate to Canada, having an immigration lawyer review your case will determine the best route for you.

Canada Immigration Level Plans

Canada announced its 2021-2023 Immigration Levels Plan. Canada will target the highest level of immigration in its history. Over the coming three years, Canada will aim to welcome the following level of new permanent residents:

The only time Canada welcomed over 400,000 immigrants in a year was in 1913, when it admitted 401,000 newcomers. It has never come close to this figure again.

              The Immigration Levels Plan is the most important immigration announcement made by the Government of Canada each year. It outlines the number of new permanent residents Canada aims to welcome over the coming years, and what categories Canada aims to admit them under. Canada welcomes immigrants under the following categories: economic; family; refugee; and humanitarian and compassionate grounds.

Permanent Residency

If you want to change your residence and live in Canada, then you will need a permanent Canada visa.

Temporary Residency

If you want to visit, work or study in Canada, then you will need a temporary Canada visa.

Permanent Residency

A permanent resident is someone who has been given permanent resident status by immigrating to Canada, but is not a Canadian citizen. Permanent residents are citizens of other countries. A person in Canada temporarily, like a student or foreign worker, is not a permanent resident.

Express Entry Program

The Canadian Immigration Program that allows skilled immigrants to live and work in Canada, and become permanent residents. Those eligible for certain federal economic immigration programs may be selected.​

How to sponsor a family member to join you in Canada if you are a permanent resident or Canadian citizen.

Business Immigration​

This is for foreign nationals who intend to establish or invest in a business in Canada.

Federal Skilled Worker​

This is for individuals who will immigrate to Canada on the basis of their own personal credentials.

Temporary Residency

If you want to visit, work or study in Canada, then you will need a temporary visa. Temporary residence status refers to people who wish to come to Canada to visit, work or study, they are coming to Canada for a temporary period and are therefore considered visitors. Here are the three types of Temporary Resident programs available:

Visitor Visa or Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)

Visitors wishing to come to Canada for a temporary purpose to do things like vacation, or visit family and friends.​

Work Permit

Do you plan to work in Canada? Do you have a job offer in Canada?

Study Permit

If you intend to study in Canada and you are a foreign national, you will likely need a Study Permit
